MI OER Conference: The Art of Open Education

September 20, 2024 at Grand Rapids Community College

The MI OER Network convened on September 20, 2024 at Grand Rapids Community College to commiserate around the creative balancing act that is creative, supporting, and enhancing the OER landscape in Michigan. Keynote was provided by Autumm Caines. Funding was provided in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan. Additional funding provided by the Midwest Higher Education Compact and the Michigan Academic Library Association.

MI OER Mini-Conference: Gather, Network, Learn

October 6, 2023 at Wayne State University

The MI OER Network convened on October 6, 2023 at Wayne State University to connect preK-12, and higher education educators to learn more about OER. This one day in-person mini-conference brought together OER advocates, users, and policy makers to dive into timely topics, network, and learn from one another. Topics such as AI, course markings, and other current, notable projects taking place in Michigan were discussed.
